Next Words Group Reading

Join the California Institute of the Arts MFA Creative Writing class of 2016 for their final group reading at RedCat in Downtown Los Angeles.

From the RedCat website:

The School of Critical Studies hosts it annual reading showcasing the graduating class of CalArts MFA Creative Writing Program.

Next Words is both a reading series and a publication featuring work by graduating MFA Creative Writing students. The readings take place at venues throughout Los Angeles—bookstores, art galleries, community centers—during the spring of each year. At the final Showcase reading, the graduating class presents brief excerpts from their work—a selection of fiction, poetry, nonfiction and hybrid genres. This year’s publication entitled At Both Ends will also be on hand. Followed by a reception, the Showcase offers an opportunity to experience the exciting new writing coming out of CalArts and to raise a glass to a group of talented and dedicated young writers.

The event is free and open to the public. Reservations are strongly suggested due to limited seating. Call the REDCAT box office to make your reservation at 213-237-2800.

Reading begins at 3pm with a reception to follow. Issues of the 2016 Next Words Anthology will be available for purchase.
